Are there any scents that invoke childhood memories?

Stink Beetles.

I used to love to climb trees as a child and would ALWAYS step on a stink beetle somewhere in the tree, and now every time I smell one, I am reminded of climbing those trees.

Life seemed so unkind a year ago today”  - Delta Goodrem “Year Ago Today”

One year ago, today, I had my Billie cat put to sleep.

I will always miss her. I had her with me for nineteen of my then twenty-two years, and then I lost my friend.

My best friend.

It’s been decided. On October 20th, 2010, we will wear purple in honor of the 6 gay boys who committed suicide in recent weeks/months due to homophobic abuse in their homes at at their schools. Purple represents Spirit on the LGBTQ flag and that’s exactly what we’d like all of you to have with you: spirit. Please know that times will get better and that you will meet people who will love you and respect you for who you are, no matter your sexuality. Please wear purple on October 20th. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors and schools.

Guess who finally got a job?

That's right. Me.

It's only a two day a week job but as a full time uni student, that's all I wanted.

I am so fucking glad

The start of my future

Today is the start of my future, today I begin lectures and university study.

It all starts here. The subjects I have chosen I am actually looking forward to heading to university each day - Anthropology, Effective Writing and Sociology. I am still not sure what my major is going to be, but I'm thinking Anthropology - something I have been interested in since I was 16 years old.

Whn uni-expereince rolled around, there was no history subject for me to pick to go and join in on the lecture so my Ancient History teacher told to me to pick the Anthropology subject and I was hooked the get-go. Seven years on, I am now studying it at a University level.

I am actually happy today. I'll let you know if that changes.

Writer's Block: The tenth time's the charm
Elizabethtown-60B

What movie have you seen the most times in your life? How many times have you seen it? Will you ever grow tired of it?

I don't know if it's the movie I have watched the most in my life, but I have watched Elizabethtown so many times that I know it verbatim.

It is a movie that when I am down in the dumps it makes me smile. It is not a well acted, directed or written movie but the story is wonderful. And the music maked it even better.
